A LONG HISTORY OF SUCCESS

Sun Metal Products, which dates back to 1946, originally owned SUNringlé. The Warsaw, Ind., company manufactured a wire-spoke wheel line, and developed wheels for lawnmowers, garden utility vehicles and stationary bicycles. Twenty years later, they began producing alloy rims for high-performance, off-road motorcycle racing. In the 1980s, Sun also began developing high-end alloy rims for bicycles. In the 1990s, Sun expanded their production facilities and built manufacturing plants in China to meet the needs of the growing Asian bicycle manufacturing industry.

WINNING WHEEL RIMS

Sun Products was recognized as one of the world’s best rim makers with numerous victories in the World Cup, NORBA Nationals and a silver medal at the Olympic Games held in Atlanta. In 1997, Sun Products purchased Ringlé Racing Components and formed the SUNringlé brand.

DUROC PRO rear wheel

Building upon the already proven Duroc platform the new Duroc Pro features the same trusted double-wall, welded alloy tubeless rim but is now blessed with the gift of a fast engaging and all-new Super Bubba X hub.

The Super Bubba X utilizes the same drop in ratchet ring tech as the Super Bubba but, instead of two offset 45 tooth rings, there is only one 45 tooth ring. This combined with a six pawl freehub body, results in the same engagement of 4 degrees and shaves 55g to bring the total weight of the rear hub to 285g. It also means that there are no threads within the hub shell guaranteeing you will never find yourself walking out of the woods with an overpriced strider bike.

The wheels are laced with straight pull Wheelsmith DB14 spokes and alloy nipples. Everything you need to set up tubeless within the box.

Düroc wheels are available individually.
